Abundant Assets by the Bristol Family YMCA
Abundant Assets is an initiative that the YMCA has partnered with the Search Institute to educate parents and the community about the assets our children need to succeed in life.
The good news is that everyone can build assets. It’s not just the responsibility of families, schools, social service agencies, or other institutions—though they all have important roles. Whether you are a grandparent, a neighbor, or a bus driver, you can start building assets today with the young people who live in your community.
These charts show the areas of the 40 Developmental Assets for Infants, Toddlers, Pre-schoolers, Elementary and Middle-and-High School Teens that they need to succeed in life. The assets were researched by the Search Institute and provide a framework for action that encourages all individuals to make a difference, no matter who they are or what their lives are like. The power of one is strong, indeed.
