Aijia Allen

Intern & Volunteer

Aijia Allen is a student at WGU, pursuing a degree in education. She was been an intern with Appalachian Promise Alliance for over two years, creating the weekly newsletter and assisting with various other projects to assist our communities.

Aurin Rahman

Intern & Volunteer

Aurin completed her Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Health Administration from
East Tennessee State University. She has a Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from
Bangladesh.

Bri Baker

Intern & Volunteer

Brianna Baker was born and raised in Pound, Virginia, but now calls Bristol her home. Brianna is a graduate of King University, where she received her bachelor’s in social work. She has always been drawn to helping others and social work. Being a volunteer at Appalachian Promise Alliance gave her a chance to make a difference in the lives of people which is very important to her. She is currently employed with Family Promise of Bristol working on their Day Services program.

Sunshine Hess

Intern & Volunteer

Sunshine was an intern and volunteer at Appalachian Promise Alliance and completed her Bachelor’s in Social Work from King University. She has a passion for helping and strives to bring about change and
awareness to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Emma Smith

Intern

Emma is currently completing her Bachelor’s of Social Work at King University. In her daily life, she is an EMT who is pursuing her education to become a Social Worker in the healthcare field to better help those in medical need.

Donni Roller

Intern

Donni is persuing her Masters degree in Public Health at East Tennessee State University. She is currently working with our Parenting Program to further her knowledge surrounding maternal and infant health.
